WHO IS INVOLVED IN JUNIOR LEAGUE OF THE WOODLANDS, INC.?

The members of Junior League of The Woodlands are women dedicated to making a difference in North Harris and Montgomery County communities in which they live. Junior League welcomes all women who value our Mission. We are committed to inclusive environments for individuals, organizations, and communities. 

WHAT AREA DOES JUNIOR LEAGUE OF THE WOODLANDS SERVICE?

Junior League of The Woodlands is a unique league that has the opportunity to stretch over a large area to help others. Our service and membership area spans Conroe, Cypress, FM 1960/Champions, Humble, Katy, Kingwood, Magnolia, Montgomery, Spring, The Woodlands, Tomball, and Willis. 

WHO CAN JOIN THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF THE WOODLANDS?

Book Club Affinity Group meets monthly to build relationships over their love of reading.

To be eligible to join the Junior League of The Woodlands as a New Member, a woman must be 22 years old by May 31 of the year proposed, a legal resident of the Greater Houston Metropolitan area, and attend one new member information session.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO JOIN?

New members are welcome to join during the recruitment period held in Fall and Spring when applications open. Prospective members are encouraged to fill out an interest form throughout the year for more information on joining.

WHAT IS THE ENROLLMENT PROCESS?

All women interested in learning more about becoming a member of the Junior League must attend one of the New Member Information Sessions. To add your name to the prospective mailing list, complete the information request form or email us at newmembers@jltw.org.

WHAT ARE THE MEMBERSHIP REWARDS?

As a Member of Junior League of The Woodlands: 

  • You are trained for effective action and leadership as volunteers, which can be used in the League, your profession, and daily life. 
  • You make a difference in your community by having the opportunity to contribute to multiple community programs, in both volunteer hours and financial support. 
  • You are a part of the Association of Junior Leagues International, which includes over 125,000 women in 295 Junior Leagues throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the United Kingdom.

WHAT ARE THE MEMBERSHIP COMMITMENTS?

New members engage in an intensive half-year training program. All members are committed to attending General Meetings, New member training sessions, completing community service volunteer shifts, and helping with the Holiday Market, our major fundraiser for our community programs. 

Members’ financial commitments include dues, purchasing/selling Holiday Market tickets, and purchasing/selling our current cookbook, Texas Tables.
