REACH
REACH
In Texas, there were more than 53,000 confirmed victims of child abuse and neglect in 2024. Because of the vast amount of cases involving child abuse in Montgomery County, and the limited resources available to CPS caseworkers and families, our REACH committee makes a difference in the lives of those affected by child abuse.
REACH Community Partners

JLTW volunteers decorating the 2023 CASA Gala
The Rainbow Room of Community Partners of Montgomery County is an emergency resource center available to CPS caseworkers to help them meet the initial critical needs of children in CPS custody. Oftentimes, children are taken into CPS custody with nothing but the clothing on their backs (and sometimes even less) – this room allows CPS caseworkers to pick up needed clothing, toiletry items, and baby items.
Judges appoint CASA volunteers to watch over and advocate for abused and neglected children. We help the CASA Child Advocates of Montgomery County with their annual fundraising efforts.

JLTW Volunteers supported the 2022 Run for Hope
Angel Reach was founded to address the crises of many children and youth in our community who live in alternate homes away from their natural birth parents, including foster care and kinship care. These young people are at extreme risk of life-long poverty, homelessness, substance abuse, early death, and unproductive or under-productive lives.
Ways We Impact Our Community
- Coordinate collection drives for the Rainbow Room and organize donations
- Take snacks & treats to the CPS caseworker lounge monthly
- Host the annual “CPS Caseworker Appreciation Luncheon”
- Fund & provide volunteers for the CASA annual Holiday Party in December
- Provide volunteers at the private Angel Reach events for abused children
